1. Policy Statement 
Zeeko will deliver additional social, economic, and environmental benefits alongside the core scope of supply and services. Our approach is proportionate to contract size and context, and is designed to be applicable in any country. We commit to measurable Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), transparent reporting, continuous improvement, and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. 

2. Scope
This policy applies to Zeeko’s operations, products, and services and to our tiered supply chain for the manufacture, packaging, logistics, deployment, training, and support of our products. 

3. Priority themes, commitments, and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)

Theme A – Climate action and environmental stewardship

Commitments:
• Packaging: Reach 100% biodegradable or recyclable packaging by 31 December 2026.
• Logistics: Prioritise lower‑emission freight; shift ≥70% of international shipments to sea freight by 31 December 2026, where practical.
• Circularity: Design for durability and operate a take‑back route for end‑of‑life products (repair, refurbish, recycle).

Theme B – Inclusive and sustainable economic growth

Commitments:
• Supplier inclusion: Maintain a high proportion of spend with Small and Medium‑sized Enterprises (SMEs) and civil‑society/nonprofit/social‑enterprise organisations (NPOs/SEs), where suitable.
• Prompt payment: Pay Tier‑1 suppliers within ≤30 days (or earlier if required by contract) and cascade prompt payment expectations to subcontractors.
• Local delivery: Use local technicians and couriers where practical to support regional

Theme C – Equal opportunity, skills, and inclusion

Commitments:
• Fair work: Pay at least a locally appropriate living wage (LW) for employees working on the contract.
• Skills development: Offer structured work‑experience placements (or virtual alternatives) and teacher continuous professional development (CPD) linked to digital safety.
• Inclusive recruitment: Use inclusive job advertising and provide reasonable adjustments during recruitment and on‑assignment.

Theme D – Wellbeing, community engagement, and safeguarding

Commitments:
• Student engagement: Deliver age‑appropriate digital wellbeing/safety workshops (on‑site or remote) linked to product use.
• Volunteering: Provide staff volunteering hours to support community or school initiatives.
• Safety training: Provide clear user guidance and safe‑use training for staff at deployment.

Theme E – Responsible business, ethics, and data protection

Commitments:
• Human rights and modern slavery: Maintain an annual statement on modern slavery/forced labour; conduct proportionate supply‑chain due diligence and require supplier declarations.
• Ethics: Maintain whistleblowing routes and a code of conduct for staff and suppliers.
• Data protection: Handle personal data in compliance with applicable data‑protection law (e.g., the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the European Union or local equivalent).

4 Delivery model and evidence
• Proportionality: For small call‑offs, bundle activities (e.g., workshops and training in one visit). For multi‑site programmes, scale using remote delivery and templated resources.
• Evidence pack: Attendance registers, training materials, supplier payment reports, shipment‑mode reports, packaging specifications, photos (where permitted), and take‑back records.
• Contract KPIs (Key Performance Indicators): Agree 3–6 KPIs at award; report quarterly; include corrective actions in contract management.

5 Governance and reporting
• Roles: A named Social Value Lead coordinates Operations (logistics), Customer Success (training), and Procurement (suppliers).
• Reporting: KPI dashboard issued quarterly; buyer access to evidence on request; corrective actions tracked to closure.
• Assurance: Spot checks on supplier payment terms, packaging claims, take‑back counts, and workshop delivery.

6 Review and improvement
This policy is reviewed annually or when there is a material change in regulation, market conditions, or contract scope. KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) may be updated with buyer agreement to remain relevant and proportionate in different countries and contexts.
